Your thoughts are the source of your action because whatever happen in the external world is rooted in your mind. Your paradigm about life can make a tremendous different between what you do or not do. When you embrace the thoughts that you’ve got to do things based on the right priority then you are motivated put first-thing-first. When you’ve decided in your mind that you should disciplining yourself to take massive action in getting the highest value tasks done then your action will follow through. In this case, all things are done in your mind first before it is manifested in the external world.

Ensure that what you are doing are suitable with your what you want to achieve both in the short and long term. It is only by disciplining yourself to get the highest value tasks done first-thing-first before your do anything else that you will reap the greatest possible rewards from your action. Total elimination of all the pleasure doing low value tasks and personal self-discipline to get highest value tasks done first-thing-first will give you the ultimate satisfaction about what have been done throughout the day today.

Maintain long term perspective about what you are doing right now with what you will get in the long run. When you maintain long term perspective you will be able to disciplined yourself to ensure that your time is only spent to successfully completing all the highest value tasks. If all you seeks are pleasure of the current moment without considering what you will eventually get if you continue to do so then you will likely do things that will destroy your own future. If you see today’s as your future then you will have the discipline to shape your future by what you are doing right now.

Discipline yourself to always spend the first 3 hours in the morning only to get your highest value tasks done without any distraction. Always allocate at least 3 hours only on that highest value tasks and nothing else. Decisively eliminate all distraction. Do this consistently until it become a matter of habit that you always use the first 3 hours only to get highest value tasks done and nothing else. When doing highest value tasks first-thing-first in the morning has became a habit – it will be much easier for you to succeed in life.

Integrate total discipline to always effectively use your first 3 hours to do only the highest value tasks. Make it a habit by always doing so for at least 40 days. The first 40 days of integrating this habit is a difficult process but once it has become part of your habit it will be easy for you to always spend the first 3 hours only to complete highest value tasks. Disciplining yourself to get the highest value tasks also means that you are disciplining yourself to eliminate low value tasks. Sacrifice the pleasure of doing low value tasks so that you have enough time to get your highest value tasks done.

What is the difference between success and failure? Success is the result of disciplined efforts in using all the time only on things that matter most. Failure is the result of doing low value activities at the expense of highest value activities. Remember the fact that your low value activities are done at the expense of high value activities. Things that matter most must never be sacrifice for things that matter less. Things that matter less must be sacrificed for the things that matter most.

7. The habits of spiritual balance. Spending time to relate with the Creator of the Universe.
8. The habits of charity. Focus more on giving instead of taking. It is more blessed to give than to receive.

There are many other prime habits that you can develop. Start by integrating the habit of discipline because without self-discipline you cannot succeed to develop any other habits. Self-discipline is the master key that give you access to all other additional keys.
